Hillside Farmacy is located in East Austin at 1209 East 11th Street, inside a historic landmark building, making it a unique dining destination in Austin, Texas.

What kind of restaurant is Hillside Farmacy?
We are a family-owned New American bistro in Austin, known for seasonal menus, locally sourced ingredients, and a relaxed, community-focused dining experience.

Does Hillside Farmacy have vegetarian or vegan options?
Yes, the menu includes vegetarian and vegan-friendly dishes such as truffle bean dip, salads, and plant-based burger options. 

Are gluten-free options available?
Yes, several menu items are gluten-free or can be modified to be gluten-free, including select mains and brunch dishes. Your server will be happy to answer any menu questions you have on substitutions.


Can I make a reservation for Brunch?
No, unfortunately, brunch is first-come, first-served.

How long would the wait be for a table during brunch?
Please expect a wait of 30 minutes plus after 11:30am on any given brunch.

Is Hillside Farmacy family-friendly?
Yes, it is a family-friendly restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere suitable for all ages. We have high chairs, a great selection of kids' books in our library by the front door and coloring sheets available. 

Is your restaurant dog-friendly?
Our patios are dog-friendly.

Does Hillside Farmacy have a happy hour?
Yes, happy hour runs Wednesday through Friday from 3pm to 5pm, + all night Thursday in the bar with specials on oysters, wine, draft beer, and sharing plates.

Ingredients sourced locally and used quickly are simply more vibrant than those that have traveled long distances and spent time in cold storage. Tomatoes picked at peak ripeness taste fundamentally different from those harvested early to survive shipping. Seasonal produce carries flavors that simply aren't available out of season. For chefs committed to sourcing locally, the quality and character of ingredients drives the menu, rather than the other way around. This is why items on our menu often change with the seasons. What's available and excellent in March is different from what's exceptional in October. A rotating menu isn't an inconvenience; it's a feature of a kitchen cooking with the best of what's actually in season.

How do I make a reservation for a large party (10+)?
With two unique dining rooms, the best patio in town, and exceptional customer service, we have you covered. Please visit our event page HERE. We strive to reply to all Event Requests within 24 hours.   

Do you have free parking?
We have a parking lot in the back of the restaurant via the alley with an ADA accessible spot.
Free street parking directly out the front on 11th st and a free public parking lot located on the corner of Wheeless and 11th Street. 

Can I get my prescription filled?
Nope. We are not a pharmacy, but we can make you a delicious meal.
