DJ Shani (The Groove Temple, KUTX) + Special guests

DJ Shani created “The Groove Temple®” on WLUW (88.7FM-Chicago) in May 1998 to honor WBMX (102.7 FM) and foster a unique electronic music experience. Her 4-hour weekly Deep House radio show blended soul, funk, jazz, the rave sounds, the Chicago sounds, and international vibrant music scenes with house music.

In 2016, she launched “UNITED” and “TOGETHER” in 2021, acknowledging the African American community, the diaspora, queer music history, and its House music connection. A polyglot and advocate for the mobility impaired, DJ Shani is a proud HAAM & Recording Academy member, has been featured in “The Austin Chronicle”, “VoyageAustin”  and “We are Austin” (CBS). In 2022 she joined KUTX (98.9FM), relaunching “The Groove Temple®” every Friday night from 11 p.m. -12 a.m.
